Understanding who millionaires are, and where millionaires are

Millioniares can be anywhere. When I worked in finance we had to read the books, The Millionaire Next Door, by Thomas J. Stanley, William D. Danko, and Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki. These two books should be required reading for lovingrich.com members. Many millionaires have read both of them, so it will give you something to talk about as well as a better understanding of the mentality of the millionaire mind. They will also remind you not to judge a book by its cover. The worst thing you can do it make assumptions about people. Millionaires come in all shapes, sizes and personality types. They live all over the US, but they frequent the best cities, the best restaurants even when they are not the best dressed.

Millioniare’s can be found on line by way of their interests, their hobbies, their vacation choices, their friends, their business connections. They can be found near their offices, at conferences and at special events, fundraisers and working in their communities, on company boards, foundations and in politics. You can meet them by joining their causes and helping to support their success.

If you want to meet a millionaire on line, be sure you include willing to relocate and willing to travel in your profile. Men may ask you if you are willing to relocate because they often need to stay close to their businesses, and if it is truly what you are looking for, you must be willing to sacrifice. Because millionaires are active in business and need to constantly up their game, so should you.

I advise reading current news topics and stepping away from magazines like Cosmo, Allure, and other celebrity junk when it’s time for information gathering and stimulating conversation. My personal favorite magazines and news publications are: the New York Times, Vogue, Wall Street Journal, the Economist, Huffington Post and ODE Magazine. For some mainstream info, read People and Time in line at the super market (not the Enquirer or Star). You can subscribe online to these business publications and find successful contributors as well as people who are mentioned in articles. This way you can familiarize yourself with the names and activities of the successful players in business. These are your successful targets. If you cannot physically live next door to a millionaire, live next to one virtually by gathering information that will enable you to carry on great conversation and perhaps make you more successful as well. Being interesting is all about being interested and motivated to reach your goal!
